Andy studied Cello and Double bass at the Royal Academy of Music in London, then went on to chart success with the song 'Einstein-a go-go' and extensive touring as a founder member of the group 'Landscape'. He was resident bass player on Wogan and Barrymore, has supplied bass for all the Stars in Their Eyes shows and recorded the tracks for Pop Idol and Pop stars - The Rivals. Other TV house band work includes: Ruby Wax, Surprise Surprise, Brian Conley, Miss World, Children in Need, Royal Variety shows, Des O'Connor tonight, The Paul Daniels Show, Night Fever and The Generation Game.
Andy has worked with most of the UK orchestras including appearances with artists such as Kiri Te Kanawa, Liza Minnelli, Leslie Garrett, Henry Mancini, Carl Davis and Hooked on Classics. Orchestral touring has taken him to Hawaii , Australia , New Zealand , Turkey , Russia , Sweden , Finland , Norway , Denmark , Germany and Estonia . Other live work includes touring with, amongst others: Randy Edelman, Michael Ball, Des O'Connor, the French rock star Veronique Sanson, Glen Cambell and Elaine Paige.
Feature film work includes The Full Monty, Little Shop of Horrors, The Recruit, Gosford Park , Calendar Girls, The Guru, Spy Kids, Last Orders, Evita, Shanghai Noon, I Capture the Castle, many projects in Poland with Zbigniew Preisner and the Ghent film festival with Hans Zimmer.
Albums credits include such varied artists as Freddie Mercury, Jimmy Sommerville, Madonna, The Pet Shop Boys, Shirley Bassey, 5-Star, Gloria Gaynor, Cliff Richard, China Crisis, Tom Jones, Bananarama, Steve Marriot, Hue & Cry, Nana Mouskouri, fifteen albums for the Holland based group New London Chorale and fifty or so albums in London and Madrid for the Spanish and South American market.
As a composer, Andy has written many works including the music to the long running U.K. police series 'The Bill'.
